GETTING STARTED. . .

Mark & Angela Smith, owners of All-Ways Painting & Decorating, Inc., met in Venice, Florida in 1978, married & were blessed with two wonderful daughters.

Mark’s career in painting & finishes started at age 18 when operating his own auto-detailing business.  He became interested in furniture refinishing as a hobby & later, worked for a boat manufacturing company in Bradenton where he set up & ran their first boat varnishing department.  He began working on side jobs with a friend who was a painter, & a few local painting contractors -  one commercial/new condominiums & one new construction/custom homes.  Shortly thereafter, Mark started his own career in the painting business resulting in All-Ways Painting & Decorating, Inc.  Over the next 30-years, painting a wide variety of new homes, businesses, remodels, furniture, etc., while always maintaining a strong residential repainting business specializing in custom & decorative finishes.

Mark’s desire to learn other sides of the trade has led him to the specialized wood finishes, old world, & custom finishes like antiquing, wood graining, gilding, gold leafing, & faux.  Kitchen & bath remodels are also a large part of All-Ways Painting & Decorating, Inc.’s business.  By taking kitchen or bath wood cabinet doors & drawers to our shop, refinishing them & then, refinishing the boxes on site results in beautiful custom kitchen & baths without the cost to the customer of purchasing all new cabinets.  Armoires & entertainment centers are another big part of our shop refinishing.  This part of All-Ways Painting & Decorating, Inc. has grown so much in the past few years resulting in a move in 2008 to a much larger building to accommodate the shop finishing & refinishing.

Angie continues to work as CEO of the company helping me make our business the success that it is today.  Together we are All-Ways Painting & Decorating, Inc.
